People often asked about the glazes I work with and which glazes I can recommend.
My answer: Botz brushable glazes.
There are a few things to consider when choosing the right glaze. Especially at the beginning, the various properties and firing temperatures of the glazes can be a bit overwhelming.
The Botz catalog was a great help when selecting my first glazes. To quickly and easily identify the special features of the glazes, they developed pictograms that are recognizable in the catalog and on the product itself.
For example, there is a small pictogram in the shape of a coffee cup which stands for “suitable for tableware”.
The catalog describes in detail every step that needs to be taken when using Botz glazes and is therefore a great help, especially at the beginning.

In this photo, I've opened the page with the stoneware glazes. These are fired at 1220-1280°C, have a particularly colorful and high-quality surface and are ideal for dining and drinking ware. Undiluted, they should be applied 2-3 times to achieve the desired result.
I really like to do glaze tests like the one you see here on the wall, when trying out new glazes, I've never worked with before. This way, I can avoid any unwanted surprises.
